Igor Petrishenko: Eurasian Economic Union will focus on forming common energy markets

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will pay special attention to the development of common energy markets, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko told the media following the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Nur-Sultan.

"We must focus on fulfilling the instructions of the heads of state related to the development of common energy markets - the single market for gas, oil and petroleum products, the electricity market. We must implement all documents by 2025," Igor Petrishenko said.

The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council discussed the reduction of import customs duties on electric vehicles, which is an important issue for Belarus. We exchanged views and agreed that at the next meeting of the EEC Council we will consider approving tariff benefits and tariff quotas for a certain period for all EAEU countries," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council discussed the measures to develop an integrated information system in the EAEU, Uzbekistan's participation in the EAEU's projects, and to implement the Eurasian Agroexpress project.
