Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov on March 25 met with Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of foreign Affairs of Slovenia Karl Ejavec.

"We consider your visit as an indication that Slovenia is ready for further expansion of trade and economic cooperation with our country", - noted Andrei Kobyakov.

According to him, trade turnover between the countries to $ 80 million. The U.S. does not reflect the existing potential. "We wanted to ask ourselves an ambitious task in the near future to go back to the highs that had them, and surpass them," - said the Prime Minister.

As priority areas of partnership Andrey Kobyakov energy, construction, engineering, agriculture. "We are also interested in tourism development and wishes to the Slovenian people felt, what a hospitable country, the Republic of Belarus", - he added.

The head of the Government has invited the cooperation of business circles of Slovenia. "The Belarusian side is interested in the company of Slovenia actively participated in the economic life of our country. Belarus consumers trust the quality of Slovenian products. However, the number of joint, Slovenian enterprises on the territory of the Republic of Belarus is still insignificant", - he stated.

Andrei Kobyakov noted that Belarus is interested in development of bilateral relations with Slovenia, and equal and mutually beneficial cooperation with the European Union.

"The Republic of Belarus is the state - founder of the Eurasian economic Union and we are ready to provide you all the features of our membership to ensure that we develop not only our bilateral trade and economic cooperation, but also Belarus was the platform from which Slovenia could work for the whole Eurasian economic Union", - said the Prime Minister.

Andrei Kobyakov expressed his greetings to the Prime Minister of Slovenia Miro Cerro and invited him to visit Belarus on a visit. "We will be happy and will seriously prepare for this visit," he said.

In turn Karl Erjavec thanked the Belarusian Government for the warm reception and called the current visit rich and successful. "I got the impression of a sincere wish for Belarus to develop cooperation," he said.
