Andrei Kobyakov met with the Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce

The Republic of Belarus considers Oman as one of the most promising trade-economic and investment partners in the Middle East. This was stated by Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov at a meeting with the Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce Said Al Kiyumi.

According to Andrei Kobyakov, today's meeting is further proof of the sincere intentions of Belarus and Oman to activate a full and wide-ranging cooperation. "Priority attention is given to cooperation in trade and economic sphere. One of the main components of trade and economic cooperation are contacts between representatives of business circles. I am confident that the effectiveness and efficiency of the contacts of the business community is the key to the successful development of bilateral relations in trade and economic area as a whole" - the head of Government said.

Andrei Kobyakov drew attention to certain positive dynamics in the development of trade and economic cooperation with the Sultanate of Oman, which is observed this year. "At the same time, commodity turnover between the two countries remain very low. The potential of Belarus and Oman in the field of trade and economic cooperation is far from being implemented fully." - he said.

The Prime Minister assured that Belarus is ready to develop cooperation with the Sultanate of Oman on several fronts. "We are ready to deliver " BelAZ "career and mine equipment, road-building, communal equipment of " Amkodor ", cars and buses of MAZ, agricultural machinery. This Belarusian products are already known in the Omani market. We are very interested in the arrival of the Omani business in Belarus and see great prospects for the development of investment cooperation between our countries "- the Prime Minister said.

Also, Andrei Kobyakov stressed that any project that interested Omani side will be considered through the prism of a special relationship between our countries in the spirit of mutually beneficial partnership, friendship and trust.
