A session of the Council of Ministers of the Union State will be held in
Brest on 13 December, Belarus Prime Minister Sergei Roumas said as he
met with State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota.
“Belarus
suggested holding the session of the Council of Ministers of the Union
State in Brest on 13 December. Russia supported the idea. Today, we must
discuss the preparation of this event and finalize some issues which
have remained unreconciled,” Sergei Roumas said.
According to
Grigory Rapota, a meeting of the the high-level group of the Union State
Council of Ministers is scheduled for 14 November, almost a month
before the Union State Council of Ministers meeting in Brest.
Preparation for the two events is already in progress. All materials
must be prepared by 20 October. “We will review and summarize these
documents and then propose the final agenda of the Union Council of
Ministers meeting,” he said. Work is underway on all matters which are
proposed to the agenda. However Grigory Rapota highlighted some issues
and suggested discussing them further.
