Aleksandr Turchin meets with Uzbekistan’s business delegation

Belarus’ Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin held a meeting with a delegation of Uzbekistan’s business representatives.

The visit of Uzbekistan’s entrepreneurs was organized to fulfill the agreements reached during the official visit of the Belarusian Prime Minister to Uzbekistan in February 2026 and on the instructions of Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov.

“It seems we met in Tashkent only recently, but now you are already here in Minsk. I am glad to see that our relations are developing so intensively. Upon your return, please let Abdulla Nigmatovich [Aripov] know that I am grateful for the rich and fruitful visit. Our meeting with Shavkat Miromonovich [Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan] will undoubtedly give a new momentum to our relations. And certainly, we are looking forward to welcoming him in our country. Ahead of this visit, we must resolve as many of the issues discussed in Uzbekistan as possible,” Aleksandr Turchin said.

The delegation is headed by Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry Davron Vakhabov. It includes entrepreneurs specializing in livestock farming, construction, and design. The goals of the visit include opening a Uzbekistan Trading House and an Uzbek cuisine restaurant in Minsk, establishing Uzbekistan’s agricultural enterprises in Belarus, developing direct supplies of fruit and vegetable products from Uzbekistan, and other joint projects.
