Prime Minister of Belarus Aleksandr Turchin has signed a resolution to approve the state program “Healthy nation” for 2026-2030.
The program is structured around three subprograms: “Prevention, diagnosis, treatment,” aimed at introducing modern methods for preventing and treating non-communicable diseases while ensuring accessible, high-quality medical care regardless of a patient’s location and preventing the spread of infectious diseases; “Digitalization and high-tech medicine,” focused on expanding the centralized healthcare information system and integrating modern medical technologies; and “Healthcare infrastructure,” dedicated to developing the sector’s physical infrastructure and strengthening its workforce.
Key consolidated targets for the program by 2030 include raising life expectancy to 76.5 years and reducing the overall mortality rate to 11.5 per thousand.
Total funding for the state program is Br98 billion.
