Belarus’ Government approves CIS cooperation agreement in heavy engineering

The Council of Ministers of Belarus has approved a CIS cooperation agreement in heavy engineering. The corresponding resolution was signed by Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin.

The Resolution endorses the Agreement signed in Dushanbe on 5 June 2025. Its goal is to foster the development of heavy engineering through enhanced collaboration and the joint development and exchange of new manufacturing technologies and expertise. This is aimed at improving economic efficiency, driving technological and innovative modernization, promoting resource conservation and environmental safety, and boosting the competitiveness of heavy engineering products. The ultimate objectives are to meet domestic demand and to increase the global market share of CIS producers.

The resolution also designates the authorized bodies responsible for implementing the Agreement.
