Belarus’ PM introduces new head of Prosecutor General’s Office to its staff

Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin introduced new head of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Belarus Dmitry Gora to its staff on 23 December.

Previously, Dmitry Gora had been the head of the Investigative Committee of Belarus.

“As you know, Dmitry Gora was appointed Prosecutor General today. He hardly needs an introduction, but I want to say that he is a competent, skilled leader, a true professional in his field, a true patriot, a person who loves his country,” Aleksandr Turchin said.

Dmitry Gora is no stranger to the prosecution service, having served as deputy prosecutor general in the past. “He is therefore familiar with all aspects of the work. Our president has set out the tasks for the Prosecutor General’s Office very clearly today,” the prime minister said and stressed that economic and entrepreneurial initiative must develop in the country in strict compliance with the law. Aleksandr Turchin also wished Dmitry Gora and the staff of the Prosecutor General’s Office success in their work.

“This appointment represents great trust from our head of state. I am fully aware of the responsibility I now bear. I believe that together we can accomplish all the objectives. Every directive is focused on enhancing our performance and delivering better outcome. I am confident that the team of the Prosecutor General’s Office is ready to carry out any tasks,” Dmitry Gora added.
