Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin visited BELGEE on 8 April.
The Prime Minister reviewed issues related to the company’s operations and the prospects for implementing investment projects.
The program of the working trip also included a meeting to discuss the development of the domestic automobile industry. The agenda covered matters related to the activities of BELGEE and the prospects for the future of another passenger vehicle manufacturer in Belarus, the joint company UNISON.
In January-March 2026, BELGEE produced 22,359 vehicles (a growth of 7.8%). Exports amounted to 15,492 units (an increase of 37.7%) worth $251.9 million. The domestic market saw sales of 8,612 units (a growth of 30%), including 3,006 vehicles powered by new energy sources.
Four BELGEE models and six Geely models were in production in January-March 2026, including three models using new energy technologies.
In addition, the Head of the Belarusian Government visited a plant to produce cement-perlite panels with facilities for engineering and transport infrastructure in Zhodino. The project is being implemented by VOLMA BEL. According to the investment agreement, the deadline for completion is December 2027.
