Our advanced scientific developments, which have been implemented in such industries as agriculture, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, microelectronics, healthcare, and energy, are recognized by the international community and have wide practical application. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Viktor Karankevich during the republican meeting of the scientific community dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science.
"The Belarusian land has always been famous for talented scientists. We were able to preserve the heritage, as well as significantly increase the scientific potential of our country. Thanks to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, great attention is being paid to the development of Belarusian science. And we are proud of these achievements. Our advanced scientific developments, which have been implemented in such industries as agriculture, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, microelectronics, healthcare, and energy, are recognized by the international community and have wide practical application," said Viktor Karankevich.
The Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the scientific community of the country on behalf of the Government of Belarus on the occasion of Belarusian Science Day. "I would like to thank all those who have dedicated their lives to this important field of human activity for your professionalism, selfless work, and dedication. I would like to address special words of gratitude and recognition to veterans of the scientific field and honored scientists for your experience, knowledge and mentoring," he said.
The event is taking place at the Minsk International Exhibition Center. More than 500 representatives of the scientific community and experts have been invited to it, as well as university rectors and teachers.
Viktor Karankevich presented Certificates of Honor from the Council of Ministers and the Prime Minister's Commendation.
