A solid foundation has been created within the Eurasian Economic Union for the transition to a new stage of cooperation among its five member states, Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin said at an expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Moscow on 11 December.

A government delegation led by Prime Minister of Belarus Aleksandr Turchin has left for Moscow on a working visit.

Belarus will increase the base rate for salaries of public-sector employees to Br297 on 1 January 2026, according to a corresponding resolution signed by the government.

The resolution envisages an increase of 8.8%, raising the base rate from Br273 to Br297.

On the instruction of the Belarusian president, Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin presented state awards to representatives of various professional fields.

On December 5, a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Council was held in Moscow. It was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Natalia Petkevich.
